Raymond Easton

Ray Easton's passion for the natural world is his inspiration behind every painting. He has designed and created 20 conservation stamps for The National Audubon Society and was the 1997 New York State duck stamp winner. He was also the winner of the National Duck Stamp Collector’s Society’s (NDSCS) 15th annual waterfowl stamp in 2023, and just recently won the Ohio duck stamp in 2024. Easton was also named “NYS Wildlife Artist of the Year” on four separate occasions between 1995 and 2001. His subject matter ranges from North American birds to local landscapes, and his preferred medium is oil or acrylic.

Ray puts his commitment to conservation: "As stewards of this planet, we must all do our part. Conservation starts with the simplest of things, like recycling and waste management. A clean environment that has minimal pressures from the consumption and polluting of our natural resources can function effectively through natural selection and processing. The carbon footprint that mankind (as a whole) is leaving on this planet is a testament to our lack of true intelligence as a species. As an artist and naturalist, I have dedicated my life to conservation causes. Through my art, I have raised revenues that continue to fund conservation efforts for wildlife and habitat management projects throughout much of North America."
